How to use Trend Analysis

Updated this week

Outline

The Trend Analysis is a major feature of the platform can be found in the Navigation Pane. It allows you to see what keywords are trending across news outlets, as well as how their popularity changes over time.

Analyzing trends

To start analyzing, you need to select a collection at the top of the page.

There are pre-built collections on the most popular topics, allowing you to see the general trends right away.

On top of it, this list has your Media Monitoring collections, which you can select to analyze trending keywords for your collection exclusively.

Please note, that only Source Finder type of collections is shown in Trend Analysis.

Setting the time period

The time period for which you want to see the trend analysis can be set in the top-right corner.

Adding collections to favorites

Any collection, when selected, can be "starred" by clicking the star button next to it.

All starred collections can be found in the Sidebar on the left.

The exclamation mark next to the starred collections means there was a significant change in the trend over the last 24 hours.

Removing collections from favorites

To remove a collection, click the three dots next to it, and select delete.

Please note, that clicking delete here does not delete the collection, it only removes it from the Trend Analysis favorites. The collection can still be found both in Trend Analysis collection selection and in Media Monitoring.

Search bar

The search bar above can be used to filter the favorited collections.

Please note, that the search bar only filters based on the collection name, not its contents.
