How to use Media Monitoring

Updated this week

Outline

Media Monitoring is a major feature of the platform that can be found in the Navigation Pane. It allows you to monitor media by sources, keywords, or by subscribing to newsletters.

The way you interact with the Media Monitoring feature is collections.

Collections are instances of Media Monitoring, allowing you to separate different types of intelligence you gather into different collections.

Creating a Collection

Click "Create Collection" in the Sidebar. The next step is to choose the preferences for this collection.

Collection Access

The first choice is to set access for the Collection: Personal or Shared.

  • Personal collections are only visible to you

  • Shared collections are visible to all your team members

Collection Type

Next, you need to choose collection type. Links below contain detailed information on how to create each collection type:

  • Source Finder: select specific news outlets you want to follow.

  • Google News: select keywords you want to monitor, and receive news that mention these keywords.

  • Newsletters: create a shell email to subscribe to various newsletters. The newsletters this email receives will be shown in this Collection.

  • Templates: contains pre-configured Collections with popular sources, keywords, and newsletter subscriptions.

Please note, that one Media Monitoring collection can only have one type of sources.
