Managing Roles

Currently, the following roles can be assigned through the Team Management section of in Settings > Team Management:

  • Viewer: View-only access to projects which are shared with them.

  • Member: Can create and edit projects. Alerts and digests can only be sent to themselves.

  • Manager: Can create and edit projects. Full alerts and digests capability access. Can invite/remove users to/from team and promote/demote viewers and members.

  • Owner: Full access. Can promote users to the manager role. Billing access.

Note: Owners can currently only be reassigned by the technical team at ReadPartner.

Project Privacy

When setting up a ReadPartner project, you can either set it to be Personal or Shared. Note that you also can change these settings after creating a project.

  • Shared: Shared projects are visible to every single team member added to a project.

  • Personal: Personal projects are only visible to the creator of a project.

Story Sharing

If you find a story in a personal or a shared project which you think is worth sharing with a team member, you can click "Share" and either send the direct link to the article/post to another person via external communication or select a team member who you would like to share the article/post with within the platform.

Once a story has been shared by you or with you, it will appear in the "Shared" section available in your sidebar. You will know who the story has been shared by or who you have shared the story with.
